Human Rights Human Dignity International Film Festival

Rules and Regulations

No entry fees are required for submissions.

1. Must have English subtitles if the film is not in English.
2. Film duration is not limited.
3. Filmmaker must have royalties of background music and song used in the film. The use of original music or royalty-free music is strongly
recommended but not mandatory for Festival submissions.
4. Must enclose a CD with:
(a) Dialogue list in English
(b) Synopsis of the film
(c) Director’s biography
(d) Director’s statement of the film
(e) One photo of the director
(f) Two promotional stills of the film or a film poster. All images should be high resolution.
5. Must submit 2 DVDs or 2 Blu-Ray discs of the film for the preview.
6. Selected films for screening in the HRHDIFF will be announced in advance on www.hrhdiff.org. HRHDIFF will inform filmmakers via email and will request to send .AVI / .MPG / .MP4 or .MOV files for screening in the Film Festival.
7. The films shown on the Internet are not eligible for submission.
8. Must use a separate submission form for each film.
9. Once submitted, films may not be withdrawn from participation at the HRHDIFF. Submission DVDs and Blu-Ray discs will not be returned and
filmmaker gives permission to the HRHDIFF to retain DVDs, Blu-Ray discs and promotional materials as part of its Festival library.
10. Local language, Burmese subtitle will be put into the films selected for screening in the Film Festival.
11. Selected films may be screened one or multiple times at various traveling film festivals during and after the Festival.
12. Filmmaker hereby grants HRHDIFF the rights to use all or part(s) of the film for promotional purposes; to use stills, biographical material,
names and likeness from the film for promotional purposes and in Festival program, to show the film at press screenings and to exhibit the film
during the Festival and at any time before and after the Festival.
13. Festival juries shall determine selections and award winners at their sole decision.

Guideline for the submission

 

Submission deadline is 11 April 2014.

Please read Rules and Regulations carefully before submitting your film. Please use one submission form for one film when you send the film.
Required documents for the submission are:

1. 2 DVDs or 2 Blu-Ray discs
2. Submission form
3. A CD with:
(a) Dialogue list in English
(b) Synopsis of the film
(c) Director’s biography
(d) Director’s statement of the film
(e) One photo of the director
(f) Two promotional stills of the film or a film poster. All images should be high resolution.
